Description:
The Ship Motion Platform (SMP) is used for the testing of systems under various motion profiles that represent different sea-states and ship types. The system was recently upgraded with a superstructure designed to replicate the deck of a ship to allow for the operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) from the SMP. The purpose of this project is to develop a method to emulate UAS behavior for control system development and risk reduction testing.
