MQ-4C Reverse Engineering Technical Data Initiative

Project Number:

N00019-25-9-0005

Description:

The Navy requires the ability to adequately support prototype kit infrastructure and a corresponding Digital Twin (DTw) for the MQ-4C test asset, known as B-1, in order to conduct predictive maintenance, systems integration, rapid prototyping, and enhance operational readiness Government seeks industry solutions that can address the creation of a TDP, Installation Data Package (IDP), and/or development of a DTw for B-1. The MQ-4C test asset, B-1, currently lacks a comprehensive exportable MIL-STD-31000B compliant Technical Data Package (TDP) inclusive of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and functional models which are essential for lifecycle management, performance optimization, and cost-effective modernization efforts. Furthermore, the lack of digital modeling impedes collaboration with industry partners and restricts the ability to apply advanced analytical techniques such as digital engineering. The Government requires innovative approaches to reverse engineering, digital modeling, and data acquisition that will enable effective configuration management, efficient aircraft maintenance, operational support, and system upgrades.
