Description:

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking a solution to replace its current Medium-Range Range Instrumentation Radar (RIR) system. The Government requires a prototype radar system capable of accurately tracking targets at ranges up to 160 km in X-Band, with a focus on supporting RDT&E for manned, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The radar must operate in both skin and beacon tracking modes, providing real-time time-space-position information (TSPI) data. The system will be installed at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and used for flight test operations. The project is expected to be completed by March 31, 2028, with an estimated budget of $5.911M.
